Since peat forest fire is a recurring issue in Badas peat swamp forest, it is apt to conduct a public awareness campaign on forest fire prevention. Not only the volunteers would be informed of the importance of the peat swamp forest rehabilitation effort but also be educated on the prevalent occurrences of forest fires in Brunei Darussalam, and how to be responsible citizens and prevent them.
Here are some forest fire prevention measures for residents to adhere to help curb the spread of forest fires:
